Getting help
There is a Help panel on every screen. Ask what you are trying to do in your own words and get an answer from these guides, with a link to the part it came from and a button to the setting that does it.
The short version
- Help is at the bottom of the sidebar, on every page.
- Ask in plain language. You do not need to know what anything is called.
- Answers come from these guides and say which one.
- If the guides do not cover it, it says so and offers you a person.
- You can read every guide in the panel without asking anything.
How to ask
Describe what you are trying to do, not what you think the feature is called. "I want people to book a table" works better than "how do forms work", because it says what you actually want.
Mention your website by name if you have more than one and the question is about a particular site. Otherwise you may be asked which one you meant.
You can ask a follow-up. It remembers what you just asked.
Where answers come from
Every answer is grounded in these guides and in the actual settings panels of the application. Each one names the guide and section it came from, and you can open that section right there in the panel.
That is why it can tell you which tab a setting is on and what the help text beside it says. It is reading the same screens you are.
What it will not do
It will not guess. If the guides do not answer your question, it says so in one sentence and offers to put you in touch with a person, rather than producing something plausible.
That is deliberate and it is the most important thing about it. You cannot tell an invented answer from a real one, and you would go and change your website based on it. An honest "I do not know" is worth more than a confident guess.
It also cannot change anything for you. It tells you where to go and can open the right panel, and you make the change.
Reaching a person
There is a "send us a message" link at the bottom of the panel, and it appears automatically when an answer could not be found. Write what you need and we reply by email.
Use it whenever the answer did not land. Getting an unhelpful answer and giving up is the outcome worth avoiding.
What it costs
A new workspace gets 5 answers to try it with. After that, asking is part of your subscription and comes out of your monthly build credits, the same as anything else you ask for.
Questions are small compared with building. A month of asking whenever you are stuck is a fraction of what one site build costs.
Reading the guides is always free, and so is reaching a person.
